Going through stressful events and unresolved traumatic life experiences can feel extremely overwhelming. It can feel even more daunting when you feel like you are alone and don’t have the correct coping skills and tools to get through it or you’ve been putting your head down and plowing forward for so long you aren’t even sure where to start. You are not overreacting. I can help individuals and couples go from “surviving” to “thriving”!
I am a veteran, bilingual, highly sensitive person (HSP) therapist that specializes in treating trauma, nervous system regulation, somatic symptoms, and difficult family relationships. I am trained in: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Somatic Therapy & others.
My goal is to create a safe space for you to be able to feel heard and understood. I want to guide you to shift from “what is wrong with me?” to “what happened to me?” I use a collaborative approach where you and I can identify symptoms, work through past traumas, navigate the impact on your overall functioning & gain the tools to live a peaceful life.
